My name is Paul Miller, and I'm an award-winning nightscape photographer based in the Pacific Northwest! I have always loved looking up at the stars, ever since I was a child.

The night sky always gives me a sense of peace, wonder, and connection to something greater than myself.
As I've learned and honed the craft of night time photography, I discovered that our cameras can see colors at night that our eyes can't.
With long exposure settings, a star tracker set to follow the movement of the stars across the sky, and a whole lot of patience, I love bringing out detail in the Milky Way and discovering art through precise imaging techniques. Yeah, I get nerdy.
As someone who has loved the night sky for as long as I can remember, I spent many summer nights as a child with my siblings, sleeping outside on the deck under the stars.
Our parents gave us countless books about space, nature, and dinosaurs. We had a book with illustrations about the solar system and different parts of our galaxy. I must have completely worn through the cover and broken the spine of that book. I wish I knew what happened to it.
I began learning about night photography in 2015. I borrowed cameras from family and friends, until I finally purchased my own, a trusty Canon 6D. I still use this camera to this day.
In 2017, my picture of Mt. Rainier, Volcano, went viral when it was shared and seen by over 90,000 people. Some of these people requested prints, and my online store was created.
It struck me how amazing these images look off the screen.
I began running my photography business in 2023, and my astrophotography has been collected by thousands of people across the United States since then.
